As per the official Notification (CEE/404/2026-TA4) issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, dated 15.08.2026: the First Phase Allotment to Kerala MBBS and BDS courses for 2026 has commenced (except for NRI quota seats). Candidates included in the State Medical Rank List can register/give options for MBBS and BDS courses through www.cee.kerala.gov.in up to 20.08.2026, 12:00 Noon.
- Provisional allotment (based on options received up to 20.08.2026, 12 Noon): 21.08.2026
- Final allotment: 22.08.2026
- There is no fresh option registration opportunity in the next phase unless new colleges are added β candidates must register all options they are willing to join in this phase itself.
- Candidates whose results are withheld due to defects must clear the defects and get their rank released before 3:00 PM on 19.08.2026 for their options to be considered.
- NRI quota allotment will commence only from Round 2.

π Earlier Update: KEAM 2026 Fresh Application Window for Medical & Medical Allied Courses
As per the official notification (CEE/404/2026-TA4) issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, on 23.07.2026:
- Candidates who have not yet submitted a KEAM 2026 application can now submit a fresh online application for admission to Medical & Medical Allied courses (including newly added courses such as BSc (Hons.) Horticulture and Integrated Biology/Microbiology under KAU).
- Candidates who have already applied under KEAM 2026 (for Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy) can add Medical & Allied courses and NRI/Category/Minority reservation claims to their existing application through the candidate portal.
- Only candidates who have qualified NEET-UG 2026 (conducted by NTA) will be considered for Medical & Medical Allied courses.
- Window: 23.07.2026 (Afternoon) to 30.07.2026 (Extended), on www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
- Supporting documents for reservation/fee-concession claims (Community Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, EWS Certificate, Income Certificate, NRI documents, etc.) must be uploaded within this window - there is no later opportunity to submit these documents.

π’ Earlier Update: KEAM 2026 Profile Verification & Defect Correction Started
CEE Kerala had earlier started the Profile Verification & Defect Rectification facility for candidates who submitted the KEAM 2026 Medical application. Candidates could verify their personal details, photo, signature, nativity, reservation claims and uploaded documents through the KEAM Candidate Portal till 10 August 2026 (12:00 Noon). This step has now been followed by the First Phase Allotment schedule (see update above).
The Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026 is being conducted through the KEAM Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) administered by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. The KEAM 2026 application and allotment schedule has been officially notified and is applicable to all candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Kerala under the State quota.
The Kerala NEET UG counselling process is being conducted through multiple phases/rounds, including the First Phase, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round, depending on seat availability. NRI quota allotment commences only from Round 2.
Who is Eligible for Kerala NEET Counselling 2026?
- Must be an Indian citizen (PIO/OCI eligible but not for reservations).
- Must qualify NEET UG 2026.
- The candidate must appear for NEET-UG 2026 conducted by NTA.
- The candidate must qualify NEET-UG 2026 by scoring at least the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed for that year.
- The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026 Upper age limit:
- As per NEET-UG 2026 regulations (KEAM follows NEET rules) Proof of age:
- SSLC / Class 10 certificate or equivalent
- Must be included in the State Medical Rank List published by CEE and must have registered options within the notified window.
- For KEAM, candidates are classified as:
- Keralite: Domicile of Kerala or children of AIS officers posted in Kerala.
- Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): Those who studied in Kerala or meet special conditions (Govt service, residency).
- Non-Keralite Category II (NK II): Eligible only for Private Medical/Dental colleges under Management/NRI quota.

Note: If allotted a Government Medical/Dental College seat, the registration fee is carried over towards the tuition fee. If not allotted, it is refunded. The fee is not refunded if the candidate does not join within the stipulated time or quits the seat after admission (treated as penalty). SC/ST/OEC and specified categories need not remit a token deposit to CEE.

Self-financing MBBS colleges charge between approximately βΉ8.1 lakh and βΉ9.3 lakh/year for General (85%) quota seats, and between approximately βΉ21.6 lakh and βΉ22.7 lakh/year for NRI (15%) quota seats, depending on the college (as per the official Annexure I list of 20 self-financing medical colleges). Self-financing BDS colleges generally charge around βΉ3.47 lakh (General) and βΉ6.30 lakh (NRI) per year, with Pushpagiri College of Dental Science charging βΉ3.68 lakh (General) and βΉ6.66 lakh (NRI).
*As the fee structure for Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges for AY 2026-27 has not yet been finalised, candidates allotted a seat in these colleges must provisionally pay the fee fixed for 2025-26.
