Maharaja Agrasen Medical Education & Scientific Research Society was established at Agroha (Haryana) on 18th April 1988 to provide health care services, medical education.
To bring healthcare of International standards within the reach of every individual. We are committed to the achievement and maintenance of excellence in education, research and healthcare for the benefit of humanity.
The Society commemorates the great patriarch of the Vaish Community, Maharaja Agrasen, in whose name this college was built and is located at Agroha; the Capital of his Great Kingdom.
Out-Patient Departments (OPDs)
The Institute has OPD clinics in all the specialties running on all working days. All the OPD clinics are situated in one building which has been further divided into various blocks for the convenience of the visiting patients.
Indoor Services (Wards)
The hospital has 550 beds in its 12 wards providing adequate and satisfactory indoor care to patients admitted to the Institute with various ailments. The medical, paramedical and nursing staff is constantly engaged in providing the best healthcare facilities to the patients.
Accident and Emergency Department
A 14 bedded Accident and Emergency Department with divisions catering to medical, pediatric, surgical and Orthopedics emergencies functioning round the clock is a remarkable feature of the Institute. This department also has an Intensive Care Unit. Facilities of X-ray, Ultrasound and all Laboratory tests are available in the same premises and patients do not have to move from one building to other for investigations. The Emergency Operation Theatre of the Institute functions 24 hours a day.
Diagnostic Services
The diagnostic facilities available at the Institute are among the best in the region. Departments of Biochemistry, Pathology including Clinical Pathology and Haematology, Microbiology and Radiology are offering the following quality diagnostic/investigative services to aid in the proper diagnosis and treatment of the patients.
Blood Bank
The blood bank of the institute is also well equipped with blood testing facilities, latest gadgetry and a cold room for good storage capacity to match the requirements of a tertiary level referral hospital. Besides providing safe and tested whole blood for transfusion to patients.
Drug de-addiction and Treatment Centre
The Drug de-addiction and treatment centre has well functioning outpatient, inpatient, and outreach components. Active liaison with fellowship groups and other centers is maintained which in turn helps in the aftercare, rehabilitation, and manpower development.
Intensive Care Units (ICUs)
The Institute has the following well-equipped Intensive Care Units (ICUs) for providing intensive care to the patients.
Community Health Services
The Institute is deeply involved in the community health services through its three Primary Health Centres (PHCs and UHC’s) of Agroha, Barwala, Siswal, and Adampur in rural areas, which are providing health care in urban slums. The Department of Community Medicine along with departments of Paediatrics, Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology is busy conducting studies pertaining to the community health needs.
