Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2025

Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling is organized by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, for MBBS and BDS admissions in government and private medical colleges across the state. The counselling is conducted online and is based on NEET UG scores. The process of Chhattisgarh MBBS admission is carried out through the NEET UG exam, followed by MBBS counselling Chhattisgarh. The counselling is organized by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), ensuring fair seat allocation in both government and private colleges. Through this centralized process, students can select their preferred colleges based on NEET scores, category, and availability of seats, making admissions transparent and merit-based.

Eligibility Criteria

1.    Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

2.    Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PWD).

3.    NEET UG Score: Must have qualified NEET UG 2024.

4.    Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit.

CHHATTISGARH MBBS/BDS DOMICILE & SEAT ELIGIBILITY MASTER DOCUMENT (2025)

Definition of Domicile (Actual Resident of Chhattisgarh)

A candidate shall be considered a domicile (actual resident) of Chhattisgarh if they satisfy any of the following conditions:

Birth-Based Criteria

• The candidate is born in Chhattisgarh

Person / Parent / Guardian-Based Residence Criteria

A candidate shall be considered a domicile if the candidate himself/herself, or either parent, or in case parents are not alive, the legal guardian, has been residing in Chhattisgarh continuously for at least 15 years.

Employment-Based Eligibility

A candidate shall be considered eligible if either of the parents is:

• (a) A serving or retired employee of the Chhattisgarh State Government
• (b) A Central Government employee who is posted and working in Chhattisgarh State

Property / Economic Linkage

A candidate shall be considered eligible if the candidate himself/herself or either parent has owned immovable property / industry / business in Chhattisgarh for the last 5 years.

Education-Based Criteria

• Candidate has studied for at least 3 years in an educational institution located in Chhattisgarh or erstwhile Madhya Pradesh regions now part of Chhattisgarh.

Qualification-Based Eligibility

A candidate shall be eligible if he/she has passed an examination from an educational institution situated in Chhattisgarh, in accordance with the prescribed minimum qualification, as follows:

• Where minimum qualification is graduation or higher → Higher Secondary (12th) or equivalent
• Where minimum qualification is Intermediate → 8th class
• In other cases → 5th class

Special Category Eligibility

In addition to the above conditions, the following persons shall also be treated as domiciles (actual residents) of Chhattisgarh:

• (a) Spouse or children of officers of All India Services allotted to Chhattisgarh State
• (b) Spouse or children of officers/employees of Chhattisgarh State Government
• (c) Spouse or children of persons appointed by the President to constitutional or other legal posts in Chhattisgarh State
• (d) Spouse or children of officers/employees working in institutions, corporations, boards, or commissions established under the State of Chhattisgarh

Extension Clause (VERY IMPORTANT): Any person who qualifies as a domicile under the above provisions — his/her spouse or children shall also be treated as domiciles of Chhattisgarh.

Eligibility for Medical Admission

General Eligibility

• Be a citizen of India
• Be a domicile of Chhattisgarh (for relevant seats)
• Be 17 years old by 31 December

Academic Qualification

Must have passed 12th with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

Minimum marks:

• 50% – General
• 40% – Reserved category

NEET Qualification

• 50 percentile – General
• 40 percentile – Reserved
• 45 percentile – General PwD

If NEET lowers cutoff → revised cutoff applicable. No minimum marks required for Physiotherapy.
