Eligibility Criteria for Rajasthan NEET PG 2026

Candidates seeking admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses through Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 must satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling Board. Applicants are advised to ensure that they meet all academic, internship, registration, and domicile requirements before participating in the counselling process.

Eligibility Requirements

• MBBS Qualification: Candidates must possess an MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• NEET PG Qualification: Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2026. Minimum qualifying marks: 262 marks (50th percentile) for General/EWS, 244 marks (45th percentile) for General/EWS PwBD, and 226 marks (40th percentile) for SC/ST/OBC including PwBD.
• Compulsory Rotatory Internship: Candidates must complete the one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30.09.2026.
• Medical Registration: Applicants must hold a Permanent or Provisional Registration Certificate issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or any State Medical Council. Candidates registered with a council other than Rajasthan must submit the RMC certificate within one month after joining.
• Rajasthan State Quota Eligibility: For 50% of the seats in Government colleges and 50% of the seats in Private colleges, candidates with an MBBS degree from a college in Rajasthan and Medical Officers/Medical Teachers serving under the Government of Rajasthan are eligible. On 25% of these Government seats, preference is given to MBBS graduates of the University of Rajasthan/RUHS.
• Remaining 50% Private College Seats: Open to all NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates holding an NMC-recognized MBBS degree from anywhere in India.
• Round-wise Applicability: The state eligibility criteria apply up to Round 3. Seats remaining vacant after Round 3 are filled in the Stray Vacancy Round without the state eligibility criteria.
• Reserved Category Certificates: OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL and EWS candidates must hold valid certificates issued by the competent authority of Rajasthan for 2026-27. EWS certificate must be issued for the year 2026-27.
• Post MBBS Diploma & DNB Seats: Reserved only for regular in-service candidates serving under the Government of Rajasthan. UTB/PPP/Contractual employees are not eligible.
• Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for admission through Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026.

Reservation Policy

Reservation for Rajasthan State Quota PG medical seats is provided in accordance with the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Rajasthan. Eligible candidates can claim reservation benefits only if they fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions and produce valid supporting certificates issued by the competent authority.

Note: Reservation benefits apply only to bonafide candidates of Rajasthan. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/MBC-NCL/EWS candidates of other states are treated as unreserved category candidates. Reserved seats left unfilled after Round 3 are converted to unreserved seats.

Rajasthan NEET PG 2026 Counselling Process

Admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses in Rajasthan is conducted through a centralized online counselling process based on the NEET PG 2026 merit list. Counselling is held in 4 online rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round). Step-by-Step Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling Process

• Step 1: Online Registration & Application Fee
  Register on the Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling Portal (pg.neetrajasthan.com) and complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the application form. Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹4,000 (₹3,000 for SC/ST candidates of Rajasthan domicile) plus transaction charges.
• Step 2: Security Deposit
  Deposit the refundable security amount in a single transaction before choice filling, as per the table below. The amount is adjusted in the tuition fee on joining.
• Step 3: Choice Filling & Locking
  Fill and save your preferred medical colleges and MD/MS branches. Choices are auto-locked at 11:45 PM on 29.10.2026 and cannot be modified after locking.
• Step 4: Seat Allotment
  Seats are allotted on merit-cum-choice basis as per the reservation roster. Round 1 allotment list is published on 02.11.2026. Round 1 is a free exit round — not joining the allotted seat does not forfeit the security amount.
• Step 5: Reporting & Joining
  Download the allotment letter, deposit the one-year tuition fee through NEFT/RTGS, and report in person at the allotted college desk, Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, with all original documents, bonds, 6 copies of the allotment letter, 2 copies of the application form and 2 sets of self-attested photocopies.
• Step 6: Further Rounds
  Upgradation is available up to Round 3 by filling fresh choices. Non-joining after a Round 2 allotment forfeits the security amount. Seats remaining vacant are filled in the Stray Vacancy Round.

Security Deposit

Stipend for MD/MS Residents (2025–26)

Resident doctors pursuing MD/MS courses in Rajasthan receive a monthly stipend during their postgraduate training. The stipend amount varies depending on the type of institution, government policies, and individual college regulations. Government medical colleges generally offer higher stipends, while private medical colleges provide stipends according to their institutional norms.

Service Bond

Non-service candidates joining MD/MS seats in Government Medical Colleges, Government Society Colleges and RUHS-CMS must submit a surety bond and a service bond at the time of joining. The surety bond is of ₹10 lakh (including a bank guarantee of ₹1.5 lakh), and the service bond requires 2 years of service in Government of Rajasthan after completing the course. The service bond amount depends on the specialty:

Candidates joining Private Medical Colleges must submit a bond/undertaking on a ₹50 notarized non-judicial stamp paper to pay the annual fee for the remaining course period. In-service candidates furnish the bond as per Government orders.
