Academic Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a three-year bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree.
  • Final-year candidates may also apply, provided the eligibility requirements are fulfilled within three months of joining the programme.

Selection Procedure

Admissions to the MBA programmes are conducted under the following categories.

General Quota (85% of Intake)

MBA and MBA (Human Resource Management) selection is based on the following criteria:

  • CAT score
  • Personal Interview

MBA (Family Business & Entrepreneurship) selection is based on:

  • NU Entrance Test
  • Personal Interview

NRI / CIWGC-SEA / OCI / FN Quota: For candidates applying under these categories, GMAT may be considered in place of CAT.

MBA (Global Management) from Nirma University and MS Degree from the United States

Programme Overview

Students enrolled in the Global MBA (1 + 1 Dual Degree International Programme) pursue MBA (Global Management) from Nirma University and an MS degree from a partner university in the United States.

📅 Year 1 – Nirma University

Students study at Nirma University during the first year of the programme.

✈️ Year 2 – Partner University (USA)

Students apply for the MS programme at a US partner university. Nirma University assists in selection and application. Admission subject to partner university requirements.

Degree Award

Upon successful completion of the programme:

  • Nirma University separately awards the MBA (Global Management) degree as per its regulations.

English Proficiency & Visa Requirements

Students must fulfill the following before transferring to the partner university:

  • Clear an English proficiency examination such as TOEFL or IELTS or an equivalent test.
  • Apply for a student visa with a valid passport at the United States Embassy.

⚠️ If Transfer to Partner University Is Not Possible

If a student does not fulfill Year 1 academic requirements, or is unable to secure admission or visa:

  • ✦ Student continues the programme at Nirma University.
  • ✦ Governed by MBA programme regulations of Nirma University.
  • ✦ Awarded the MBA (Global Management) degree upon completion.

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Three-year (10+2+3) or four-year (10+2+4) bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying degree.
  • Final year students may also apply, provided they submit proof of meeting eligibility within three months of joining.
  • Candidates should have appeared in all examinations of their graduation by the time of commencement of the programme.
  • Candidates failing to meet minimum eligibility will be required to withdraw; tuition fee paid will be forfeited unless vacant seats are filled by other candidates.

Candidates are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. The selection process follows criteria similar to the MBA programme selection process of Nirma University.

Academic Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to the LL.M programme must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

  • For 15 seats in LL.M (Criminal and Security Law) and 15 seats in LL.M (Constitutional and Administrative Law), candidates must have passed the Bachelor of Laws qualifying examination.
  • Candidates must possess any of the following from a recognized university:   
    • Three-Year LL.B (General)
    • LL.B (Special)
    • Five-Year Integrated LL.B programme
  • Minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree.

Admissions to the LL.M programme are conducted as follows:

Admission is granted to candidates who have appeared in PG-CLAT.

Subject to seat availability, non–PG-CLAT candidates may also be considered on the basis of the All India PG ILNU Entrance Test.

For CIWGC-SEA / OCI / FN supernumerary quota, admission is based on qualifying examination marks only. No entrance test required.
