UNIVERSAL ADMISSION RULES (ALL PROGRAMMES)
The admission process for NMIMS–NPAT, NMIMS–CET, NMIMS–MST and NMIMS–LAT for Batch 2026 is being conducted in two phases as per the officially notified schedule.
Phase-Based Attempt & Retake Policy
- Candidates registered for Phase 1 are required to attempt at least one examination attempt in Phase 1.
- OR candidates may attempt all three attempts (Main Attempt + Retake-1 + Retake-2) during Phase 1 itself.
- Alternatively, candidates may attempt Retake-1 and/or Retake-2 in Phase 2.
Merit List Preparation Rules
- Phase 1 merit list is prepared based on the highest score obtained by candidates in Phase 1.
- Phase 1 candidates will receive the first opportunity for admission before the deadline.
- Phase 2 merit list will include Phase 1 and Phase 2 candidates.
- Merit ranking is based on the most recent best score across all attempts.
- Admission and counselling in Phase 2 will be conducted strictly on the latest merit ranking.
Multiple Attempts Rule
- Candidates may select multiple attempts/retakes for each exam category.
- Candidates must NOT register multiple times separately for the same exam category.
- Multiple registrations for the same category will result in blocking of candidature from the admission process.
