The Puducherry NEET UG 2026 counselling application process is currently underway. CENTAC first opened online applications on 30 July 2026, with the original deadline of 6 August 2026 (5:00 PM). Based on requests received from candidates, CENTAC has since reopened fresh applications vide Notice Ref. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/04 dated 12.08.2026, with the extended last date for submission now fixed at 14 August 2026 (5:00 PM) – no further extension will be provided. Merit list, choice filling and seat allotment dates have not been announced yet. Candidates should keep checking the CENTAC website (www.centacpuducherry.in) for timely updates and instructions regarding MBBS admissions in Puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria of Puducherry NEET UG Counselling 2026

To participate, candidates must qualify for NEET UG 2026 and fulfil Puducherry domicile norms (except for NRI/management quota seats).

• Must qualify NEET UG 2026 with the required cutoff percentile.
• Must be a citizen of India and possess a valid Puducherry domicile certificate (except for NRI/management quota).
• Completion of Class 12 with PCB and English is mandatory.
• Minimum marks required:
  • General: 50%
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • PwD: 45%
• Candidate must be 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

Puducherry NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round-wise Schedule

The counselling will be held in four major rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy. Each round has its own set of deadlines for registration, choice filling, allotment, and reporting. Round 1 Schedule (2026)

Round 1 is the main round, during which most government and private college seats are allotted. Candidates can choose colleges, lock choices, and get seats based on their NEET rank.

MBBS Bond Policy in Puducherry 2026

Candidates seeking MBBS admission in Puducherry should understand the applicable service bond and discontinuation policy before taking admission.

Note: Puducherry does not have a mandatory MBBS service bond. However, candidates discontinuing the MBBS course may be subject to a discontinuation penalty as per the applicable admission agreement and CENTAC rules. The available UG admission agreement specifies a ₹4 lakh penalty for discontinuation on or after 31 August. Candidates should verify the latest 2026-27 CENTAC notification before taking admission.

Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fee and a refundable security deposit. The security deposit varies depending on the type of college and is essential to secure the seat.
