Yes. NEET-UG is the qualifying entrance examination for undergraduate AYUSH medical courses such as BAMS, BHMS and BUMS.
Candidates must qualify NEET-UG and then participate in the appropriate State or AACCC counselling process depending on the seat and institution.
| Category / Counselling | Registration Fee |
|---|---|
| General / OBC / BC (State Quota) | βΉ4,600* |
| SC / ST (State Quota) | βΉ3,750* |
| AIQ | βΉ2,000* |
*Applicable counselling fee should be verified from the current GRAU payment portal/2026 prospectus before payment. The fee is non-refundable.
Choice filling is one of the most important stages of the counselling process. Candidates should prepare their college preference list before the choice-filling window closes.
GRAU processes seat allotment according to the applicable NEET merit, candidate category, available seats and choices submitted by candidates.
After allotment, candidates should download the allotment result/letter, complete the required fee formalities and report to the allotted college within the prescribed deadline.
The Punjab AYUSH cutoff is not a single fixed number. The closing cutoff depends on the course, college, category, quota, counselling round and availability of seats.
| Factor | Impact on Cutoff |
|---|---|
| NEET Rank / Score | Higher merit generally improves college options |
| Category | Closing marks/ranks vary by category |
| Course | BAMS, BHMS and BUMS may have different demand |
| College | Popular colleges generally close earlier |
| Counselling Round | Closing cutoff may move in later rounds |
For a meaningful cutoff comparison, candidates should compare the same course, category, quota and counselling round instead of comparing different cutoff types.
GRAU may conduct multiple rounds of counselling depending on the availability of seats and directions applicable to the academic session.
Candidates already holding a seat should carefully follow the instructions regarding upgradation, resignation and reporting before participating in the next round.
