The Medical Education Department, Government of Rajasthan (Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board 2026, SMS Medical College, Jaipur) is in charge of organizing the NEET UG Counselling 2026 for MBBS and BDS admissions in the state. The admission counselling process is conducted in online mode for 85% state quota seats. All NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates can apply for the counselling.
There will be four rounds of counselling, Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and the Stray Vacancy Round. Only those candidates will actually be a part of the counselling process who register for the counselling and pay the applicable application fee. And although the actual allotment of medical seats will be done in the end, reporting to the college & verification of documents will happen in the end stage.

The Government of Rajasthan (Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board 2026) has released the official Round 1 counselling notification (No. State UG Counselling Board/2026/, dated 10.08.2026), in compliance with the state schedule of NEET UG Counselling 2026 released by MCC. Online application form (registration) filling and application fee deposit start from 12 August 2026, and the last date for submitting the complete application (Part 1 & Part 2) is 17 August 2026, up to 8:00 PM.

Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 Eligibility Criteria |
The below listed conditions must be satisfied to participate in the Rajasthan NEET UG counselling.
• The candidate must have a valid score or rank in NEET UG 2026.
• The candidate must be 17 years old by the end of 31 December 2026.
• Passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
o Minimum percentage:
General: 50%
SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 40%
• NRI/OCI/Foreign nationals can apply under the rules of the State Government.
• The candidate must be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan or a child of Rajasthan Government employee.
• NRI and OCI candidates must upload documents which supports his/her category during the application process.
• PwBD/PwD candidates who wish to participate must upload their eligibility certificate issued from an MCC-designated centre (mcc.nic.in), and participation is subject to online verification of the uploaded certificate; the original eligibility certificate must be brought at the time of joining/reporting.

NEET UG 2026 Qualifying Cutoff: Category-wise Percentile & Marks (Official) |
The minimum marks that candidates need to obtain to be eligible for medical and dental admissions in India through NEET is called the qualifying cutoff. This is decided by NTA based on the level of difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates, and overall performance.
The official NEET UG 2026 qualifying cutoff, released by NTA on 16th July 2026, is as follows. Clearing this cutoff only makes a candidate eligible for counselling – it does not guarantee a seat; the actual closing rank/marks for admission in Rajasthan will depend on seat availability, category and competition during counselling.

Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 Counselling Fees (Official) |
The Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 counselling fee for General category candidates is ₹2,500, and ₹1,500 for SC/ST/ST-STA candidates domiciled in Rajasthan state, plus applicable transaction charges. Please note the counselling fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and is necessary to be paid in order to undertake counselling.

As per the official notification, security deposit is to be paid from 14 August 2026 to 20 August 2026 (till 6:00 PM on 20.08.2026), along with choice filling. Candidates depositing ₹2,00,000 or ₹5,00,000 will automatically be eligible to fill choices for Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges, RUHS-CMS, RUHS-CDS, ESIC MC, and Private Medical/Dental Colleges.

Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 Counselling Procedure |
85% State Quota seats of NEET UG 2026 counselling for Rajasthan are conducted by the Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counseling Board-2026, SMS Medical College, Jaipur. The procedure for the online and offline process of admission for MBBS and BDS in Government and Private Medical Colleges is explained as follows:
1. Registration
Candidates must apply online through the counselling portal by filling up personal, academic, and NEET details where they have to pay application fees also at this stage.
2. Merit List & Document Verification
A merit list is published after registration where candidates who have been shortlisted shall be called for verification of documents in offline mode at designated centres. Original documents must be ready at the time of verification.
3. Choice Filling & Locking
Candidates who verified documents can then fill and lock choices of colleges and courses. Choices can be edited/changed multiple times until auto-locking; candidates cannot modify preferences after auto-locking.
4. Seat Allotment Rounds
There will be many rounds of counselling conducted, which are Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy round. Seat allotment will be done as per NEET score, reservation, and preferences filled in terms of choices.
5. Reporting to College
Candidates who have allotted seats are required to report physically to respective colleges, bring original documents to be submitted, and pay admission fees upon reporting which confirms their seat.
