What is UP AYUSH Counselling 2026?
UP AYUSH Counselling 2026 is the state-level admission process for eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate AYUSH programmes in Uttar Pradesh for the academic session 2026โ27. Admission is based on NEET UG 2026 merit, eligibility, reservation rules, available seats and the choices locked by the candidate.
As per the Government order dated 15 September 2026, seats are filled as follows:
- Government AYUSH colleges: 15% seats are reserved for the All India Quota (filled by AACCC, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi); the remaining 85% are State Quota seats filled through UP AYUSH counselling.
- Private / minority colleges and universities: 100% seats are filled through UP AYUSH counselling โ 15% All India Quota seats in Rounds 1โ3, and 85% State Quota seats. Unfilled All India Quota seats after Round 3 merge into the State Quota.
- AACCC-declared ineligible candidates cannot participate in UP AYUSH counselling.

UP AYUSH Counselling 2026 Eligibility
- Candidate must be declared qualified in NEET UG 2026 and must register online on the official UP AYUSH counselling portal.
- Candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
- Candidate must be 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit.
- Minimum NEET UG 2026 percentile: see table below (revised NCISM/NCH norms, if any, will apply).
- Domicile (Government colleges): Candidates who passed both High School and Intermediate from UP do not need a domicile certificate. Candidates who passed either exam outside UP must submit a UP domicile certificate. Candidates from Aligarh Muslim University must also submit a residence certificate.
- Private / minority colleges: UP domicile is not mandatory; candidates from other states can participate.

UP AYUSH Reservation 2026 (Government Colleges)
Reservation applies to UP domicile candidates in government colleges as per UP Government orders. All seats in private / minority colleges are Unreserved (general merit).

Certificate rule: OBC and EWS certificates must be issued by the competent authority on or after 1 April 2026. Reservation certificates of other states are not valid for UP government colleges; they are valid only for the 15% All India Quota seats of private colleges.
UP AYUSH Counselling 2026 Registration Process
Candidates must register online on the official portal. Registration requires a mobile number (OTP verification) and an e-mail ID; one mobile number and one e-mail ID can be linked to only one candidate.
- Visit the official portal www.upayushcounseling.upsdc.gov.in.
- Register using your NEET UG 2026 details, mobile number (OTP) and e-mail ID.
- Pay the โน2,000 registration fee online through the portal gateway (valid for Rounds 1, 2 and 3; non-refundable).
- Pay the security money online: โน20,000 for government colleges, โน50,000 for private colleges (or โน50,000 if you choose both). Choice filling is allowed only after security money is paid.
- Upload documents (Class 10, Class 12, NEET scorecard, category/domicile certificate if applicable, Aadhaar or alternate photo ID).
- Check the State Merit List, fill and lock choices before the deadline.
- Check the seat allotment result and download the provisional allotment letter.
- Get documents physically verified at the Nodal Centre and complete admission at the allotted college.

Resignation: Candidates admitted in Round 1/2 who resign 48 hours before Round 3 choice filling starts get tuition fee and security money back (admission fee of โน1,000 excluded). Resignation is not allowed for Round 3 and Stray Vacancy admissions.
UP AYUSH Choice Filling 2026
Choice filling is one of the most important stages of UP AYUSH Counselling. It is allowed only after registration and security money payment, and a submission is possible only after OTP confirmation on your registered mobile number.
- Review the Round 1 seat matrix of BAMS, BHMS and BUMS colleges (government and private) before choice filling.
- Arrange choices in order of your real preference โ the system allots the best available choice as per your merit.
- Compare college type, course, fees and previous-year closing ranks (given below).
- Fill as many choices as you can; a seat allotment is not possible without sufficient choices.
- Lock the final choices before the deadline.
- Allotment is not admission โ you must report physically to complete admission.
UP AYUSH Seat Allotment 2026
After choice locking, seats are allotted according to merit, category, reservation rules, seat availability and the candidate's locked choices. After allotment, download the provisional allotment letter and complete physical document verification at the Nodal Centre (State Homoeopathic Medical College, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow) followed by admission at the allotted college.
Documents Required for UP AYUSH Counselling
Bring original documents and one self-attested photocopy of each to the Nodal Centre / college.
- NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard
- High School (Class 10) certificate and marksheet
- Intermediate (Class 12) marksheet and certificate (PCB)
- Domicile / permanent residence certificate (UP government format), where applicable
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in UP government format; OBC & EWS issued on or after 01.04.2026
- Freedom Fighter dependent / Ex-Serviceman / PwD (issued by authorised centres for 2026โ27) / NCC certificate, where applicable
- Photo ID: Aadhaar (authenticated at registration) or driving licence / passport / PAN / photo bank passbook / photo ID of last institution
- Passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in NEET UG 2026)
- Printout of online registration and security money receipt
Important: If original documents are missing or found incorrect, the allotment will be cancelled and the candidate is solely responsible. Candidates already admitted elsewhere may submit a NOC and certificate of deposit of originals during verification, but originals are mandatory at the allotted college.

Fee rules as per the counselling brochure:
- Government colleges charge the tuition fee fixed by the UP Government.
- Private colleges charge the fee fixed by the UP Government; minority institutions fix their own fee.
- Security money for private colleges is capped at โน50,000.
- Private colleges must display all fees on their website; extra charges are punishable.
- Each private college pays โน1,25,000 (non-refundable) to the counselling board โ this is not charged to students.
