5 Translation Requirement
✔ All documents must be translated into Russian
✔ Translations must be:
  • Notarized
  • Officially certified

6 Additional Documents
Depending on the applicant’s status, the following may be required:
✔ Russian visa
✔ Migration card
✔ Registration (arrival notification)
✔ Certificate of dactyloscopy (fingerprint registration)
✔ Preparatory course completion certificate

📌 MIGRATION REGISTRATION (UNIVERSITY DORMITORY)

✔ Migration registration is carried out by:
👉 Office of International Education and Cooperation

📍 Location:
👉 Repina Street, 3 (Office 423)

📄 Required Documents

Students must submit the following:

✔ Copy of all passport pages (including stamps, marks, visas)
✔ Original migration card + copy
✔ Arrival notification of a foreign citizen (registration), if available

Submission Deadline

✔ Documents must be submitted:
👉 On the next day after crossing the border of the Russian Federation

📌 Timely submission is mandatory for legal stay.

🏠 REGISTRATION (PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION)

✔ If a student lives outside the university dormitory:
👉 Registration must be done by the property owner

✔ As per regulations:  Registration or extension must be completed
👉 At the territorial office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
👉 At the actual place of residence

VISA PROCESS (INITIAL ENTRY)

✔ For entry into the Russian Federation:
👉 A visa invitation is required

📄 Invitation Process

✔ The university:  Submits documents to the Ministry of Internal Affairs
✔ Invitation allows:
👉 Issuance of a single-entry study visa
✔ Validity:
👉 90 days

Processing Timeline

✔ Invitation can be issued:
👉 Up to 90 days before arrival
✔ Processing time:
👉 20 working days

VISA EXTENSION (AFTER ARRIVAL)

✔ Students must apply for visa extension:
👉 No later than 40 days before visa expiry
✔ Process handled through:
👉 Office of International Education and Cooperation

✔ HIV Certificate (recommended: Yasnaya 46)
✔ Valid international passport (original + copies of all stamped pages)
✔ Migration card + copy
✔ Arrival notification (registration) + copy
✔ 1 photograph (3×4 cm, black & white, matte)
✔ State fee payment → 1600 RUB
✔ Copy of education contract

📌 Post-Extension Requirement

✔ After obtaining a new visa:
👉 Student must renew migration registration
✔ If living in private accommodation:
👉 Registration must be completed through the property owner

💼 WORK PERMISSION

✔ International students are allowed to work under specific conditions.
✔ Students from the following countries do not need a work permit:
• Armenia
• Belarus
• Kazakhstan
• Kyrgyzstan

✔ Other International Students
✔ Full-time students can:
👉 Apply independently for a work permit
✔ Application is made through:

⚠ IMPORTANT COMPLIANCE RULES

✔ Migration registration must be completed immediately after arrival
✔ Visa must be extended before expiry
✔ Registration must be updated after visa extension

👉 Climate is cold but manageable, less extreme than deep Siberian regions.

How to Reach Ural State Medical University

Step 1 – Flight from India: Students usually travel from Delhi / Mumbai / Bangalore to Moscow (Russia)
