The Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026-27, conducted by the Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board under Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), is the centralised admission process for MBBS and BDS courses across the state. It covers 85% of the state quota seats in government and private medical colleges, while the remaining 15% of seats fall under the All India Quota (AIQ) managed by MCC. The Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board has revised the Round 1 counselling schedule for NEET UG 2026. Online registration, application form, choice filling, and fee submission (registration fee and security fee both) are now open from 13 August 2026 (11:00 AM) to 24 August 2026 (up to 5:00 PM, as server time) – extended from the earlier 19 August 2026 deadline. Candidates planning to pursue MBBS in Uttarakhand are advised to regularly visit the official website, hnbumu.ac.in, for the latest updates and announcements, as Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy schedules will be notified separately.

Eligibility Criteria of Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026

To participate, candidates must qualify for NEET UG 2026 and fulfil UK domicile norms (except for NRI/management quota seats).

• Must qualify NEET UG 2026 with the required cutoff percentile.
• Must be a citizen of India and possess a valid UK domicile certificate (except for NRI/management quota).
• Completion of Class 12 with PCB and English is mandatory.
• Minimum marks required:
  • General: 50%
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • PwD: 45%
• Candidate must be 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026: Official Round 1 Schedule (Revised)

As per the schedule officially revised by the Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board, the counselling will be held in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy. Round 1 dates are confirmed below (revised); dates for subsequent rounds will be notified separately on the University website.

Round 1 Schedule (Official, Revised – 2026)

Round 1 is the main round, during which most government and private college seats are allotted. Candidates can register, fill choices, submit fees, and get seats based on their NEET rank.

Note: Online registration fee and security amount are payable via Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking for all categories. The above schedule is indicative; candidates are advised to read the official information bulletin carefully. Time schedule and detailed procedure of Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy Round will be notified separately on the University website. Latest directions issued by the UK NEET-UG Counselling Board will apply at all times and will replace any conflicting condition/term mentioned in the information bulletin – candidates should check the official website regularly, as no separate individual communication will be sent.

Round 2 Schedule (2026 – To Be Notified)

In this round, candidates who didn’t get a seat or want to upgrade can apply. Fresh registrations are allowed for new users, and seat allotments are made based on fresh preferences and available seats. The Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board has not yet released the Round 2 schedule for 2026; it will be notified separately on the University website.

Round 3 (2026 – To Be Notified)

Round 3 is for leftover seats after Round 2, mainly in private medical and dental colleges. This round is crucial for students who missed out earlier or didn’t join their allotted seats. The 2026 schedule for Round 3 is awaited and will be updated on this page as soon as it is released.

Stray Vacancy Round (2026 – To Be Notified)

This is the final round where seats are filled at the college level. Only previously registered candidates who haven’t joined any seat can participate. No fresh registrations are accepted. The 2026 schedule for the Stray Vacancy Round has not yet been announced.

Uttarakhand NEET Counselling Fee & Security Deposit (2026-27)

Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fee and a refundable security deposit. The security deposit varies depending on the type of college and is essential to secure the seat. As per the official Round 1 schedule (revised), the registration fee and security amount are payable together during the registration window (13–24 August 2026) via Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.

MBBS Bond Policy in Uttarakhand 2026

Candidates seeking MBBS admission in Uttarakhand should understand the applicable service bond, fee structure and penalty conditions before taking admission.

Note: Uttarakhand has different bond conditions based on the admission category and fee structure. AIQ and Non-Subsidised State Quota candidates can opt for the No-Bond option, while candidates taking the Subsidised Fee State Quota are subject to a 5-year service obligation, including service in hilly areas. The applicable penalty for bonded students is ₹1 Crore. Candidates should verify the latest 2026-27 admission notification and bond agreement before taking admission.
