VCI Veterinary Counselling 2026 is the counselling process for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) seats available under the 15% VCI All India Quota (AIQ) for the academic session 2026-27. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) is a statutory body established under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and conducts this centralized counselling based on NEET UG 2026 merit.

The counselling process involves registration, fee payment, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, and reporting. For the 2026-27 academic session, the official VCI seat matrix lists 64 veterinary colleges with 858 seats under the 15% AIQ. The remaining 85% of seats are filled by respective state counselling authorities, separate from this VCI process.

Eligibility Criteria

NEET UG Requirement: NEET UG 2026 qualification is mandatory for candidates seeking admission through VCI Veterinary Counselling 2026. Candidates are considered for the available B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats based on NEET UG merit/rank, choices submitted during counselling, and availability of seats, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Registration Process

Official 2026 Schedule: Registration/payment runs 18–23 August 2026 for Round 1, 1–2 September 2026 for Round 2, and 9–10 September 2026 for the Stray Round.

VCI Veterinary Counselling 2026 - Application Fee

Non-refundable online registration fee for Round 1 & Round 2, as per the official VCI 2026-27 Information Bulletin.

Transaction charges, if any, are additional. Fee once paid is non-refundable. Payment only via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card — cash, cheque, demand draft, digital wallets, and NEFT/RTGS are not accepted.

Stray Round Payment (Security Deposit)

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹50,000
• SC / ST / PH: ₹25,000

There is no fresh registration fee or separate security deposit for Round 1 or Round 2. Only Stray Round candidates pay the participation fee above — it's refunded if not allotted a seat or if the candidate reports and takes admission within the specified time; it's forfeited if a Stray Round seat is allotted but the candidate fails to report.
