About the College

Yenepoya Dental College and Hospital (YDC), Mangaluru, was established in 1992-93 by the Islamic Academy of Education, a not-for-profit trust founded by Mr. Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi. It's a constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), located on University Road, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.

The college is recognised by the Dental Council of India, accredited NAAC A grade, and has placed among the top 25-30 dental colleges in India across recent NIRF rankings. The university campus is fairly large, with 13 hostels (separate for men and women) and a library holding 39,000+ books along with 300+ subscribed journals.

Since YDC is a deemed university college, BDS admission goes through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), not Karnataka state counselling.
