Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT Kota) was established in 2013 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, as an Institute of National Importance. It operates under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with contributions from the Government of Rajasthan and industry partners.
Initially mentored by Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur), IIIT Kota began its academic sessions in 2013 at MNIT Jaipur's campus. The institute offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, with admissions through JEE Main and JoSAA counseling.
Graduate programs include M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in these disciplines. In 2017, IIIT Kota was granted the status of an Institute of National Importance through the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (PPP) Act.
