The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una, established in 2014, is an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It operates with support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the Government of Himachal Pradesh, and industry partners including HP Power Corporation and HP Power Transmission Corporation. Initially functioning from the campus of NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Una began its operations in the academic year 2014–15, offering undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). In the academic year 2017–18, the Information Technology (IT) branch was also introduced.

The institute was conferred the status of an Institute of National Importance in 2017. IIIT Una Admission Process For 2025

Here’s a comprehensive overview of the IIIT Una Admission Process for 2025:

Eligibility Criteria

• 10+2 (PCM) with at least 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized board.
• A valid JEE Main 2025 score is mandatory for B. Tech admission via JoSAA/CSAB.
• B. Tech is offered in CSE, ECE, IT, plus specialized streams like CSE‑Cyber Security and CSE‑Data Science.

Steps to take Admission 

1. Qualify in JEE Main 2025 (Session I & II).
2. Register for JoSAA/CSAB counselling: pay the ₹5,000 registration fee.
3. Fill and lock choice preferences, including IIIT Una and desired branches.
4. Attend mock allotments to preview your chances, then finalize choices before June 12.
5. Final seat allotment will occur based on rank, preferences, and category.
6. Pay the seat acceptance fee, and upload digital documents on the JoSAA portal.
7. Report physically to IIIT Una (typically August), with original documents, institute fee (approx. ₹1.3–2.65 L for tuition + hostel), anti-ragging forms, gap affidavits, medical & police clearance certificates.
