Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), established in 1847 as Thomason College of Civil Engineering, is one of Asia's oldest technical institutions and was designated an IIT in 2001. With a rich legacy of excellence, its vision is to be a global leader in education, research, and innovation.

The mission focuses on advancing knowledge through high-quality teaching, fostering sustainable development, and nurturing responsible professionals. IIT Roorkee offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Engineering, Architecture, Sciences, Humanities, and Management. Key disciplines include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Chemical, and Metallurgical Engineering, as well as specialized areas like Earthquake Engineering and Water Resources.

Known for its strong research culture, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and vibrant campus life, IIT Roorkee continues to play a significant role in nation-building and global technological advancement.

As per the JoSAA, IIT Roorkee offers seats across its various B.Tech programs, including supernumerary seats for female candidates. The seat distribution is categorized by program and reservation categories such as General, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and includes specific allocations for female candidates.

Admissions are based on JEE Advanced ranks, and candidates must participate in the JoSAA counselling process to secure a seat.

The seat matrix helps students understand the admission process and plan their choices accordingly during JoSAA counseling. It ensures fair allocation based on rank and category, providing clear details for a smooth admission experience.

Note: SC/ST and PwD students are eligible for a full tuition fee waiver for UG programs.
