Eligibility Criteria for MBBS in Jammu & Kashmir

The Candidate must who is a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir shall have to satisfy the following eligibility criteria for J&K MBBS Admission via NEET 2025:

The eligibility conditions for MBBS in Jammu & Kashmir through NEET UG Counselling 2025 is that the candidates should have secured a minimum score of cut off percentile (as mentioned below) in the NEET UG exam 2025 to be eligible to apply: 50th percentile for general category: 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC: 45th percentile for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) They should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks for general category, 40% in SC/ST/OBC, and 45% in PwD. Aspirants must of 17 years on or before December 31, 2025. JKBOPEE Eligibility Criteria: 85% State Quota Candidates should be Permanent residents/ Residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

Domicile Criteria

Jammu & Kashmir has specific domicile requirements for MBBS admissions:

• State Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir as defined in Section 6 of the Constitution of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Non-Domicile Candidates: While the majority of seats are reserved for domicile candidates, a certain percentage of seats may be available for non-domicile candidates under the All India Quota (AIQ). Non-domicile candidates should refer to the official JKBOPEE notifications for detailed information.

Documents Required for Admission in MBBS

For MBBS in Jammu & Kashmir through NEET UG counseling 2025, candidates need to carry the following documents at the time of Jammu & Kashmir MBBS admission 2025 registration and verification: NEET UG 2025 scorecard, 10+2 marksheet and pass certificate, class 10th marksheet, Jammu & Kashmir domicile certificate (for state quota seats), birth certificate as a proof of age, category certificate (if applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD), aadhaar card or any other valid ID proof, and six passport size photographs. and paste photographs at proper space provided in the online application form available in the portal (jkbopee.gov.in) and they may be required to produce originals for verification in person. Security Deposit

MBBS Reservation in Jammu & Kashmir

The reservation policy in Jammu & Kashmir is designed to ensure equitable access to medical education for various categories. The percentage of seats reserved for different categories is as follows:

All India Quota (AIQ): 15% of seats in Government Medical Colleges are reserved for AIQ candidates. These seats are filled through centralised counselling conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
