Uttar Pradesh Launches Annual UK Scholarship Scheme for Five Students

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Saturday that a new scholarship initiative has been approved by the state cabinet. This program will select five students from Uttar Pradesh every year to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom. The announcement was made during a memorial meeting in Lucknow commemorating the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Both the British and Uttar Pradesh governments will share the scholarship costs equally. The initiative is named after Vajpayee to honor his legacy. While speaking to the audience, the Chief Minister remarked, “Recently, the Uttar Pradesh (UP) cabinet decided to choose five students annually for scholarships for higher education in Britain. The British government will fund half of the expenses, while the UP government will take care of the remaining half.
