Meghalaya NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026: 61 MBBS Seats, Registration & Fee Details

The Government of Meghalaya, through the Directorate of Health Services, Medical Education & Research, has announced Round 3 online counselling for admission to the 1st-year MBBS course at P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital, Baridua, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya for the academic session 2026-27.

The Round 3 counselling covers State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats, with online applications beginning on October 2, 2026. A total of 61 MBBS seats are available in the Round 3 vacancy position.

The largest share of vacancies is under the Management Quota with 30 seats, followed by 22 NRI seats.

NEET UG Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission must have qualified NEET UG 2026. The notice specifies the minimum qualifying percentile as 50th percentile for General candidates and 40th percentile for SC, ST and OBC candidates, with separate provisions for PwBD categories.

For MBBS admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects. State Quota Eligibility

For State Government Quota seats, candidates must either belong to the Scheduled Tribe or Scheduled Caste categories of Meghalaya with a valid certificate, or be a permanent resident of Meghalaya possessing a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for the General category.

Management Quota Eligibility

For Management Quota seats, candidates must be citizens of India and meet the prescribed academic and NEET UG eligibility requirements.

The same Class 12 subject and percentage requirements apply, and merit/rank is determined using the NEET UG 2026 All India Rank.

NRI Quota Eligibility

NRI candidates are eligible subject to the rules and regulations of the Government of Meghalaya and Government of India.

Applicants must upload an appropriate certificate from the Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of residence as evidence of NRI status. The notice also states that NRI admissions must comply with the revised MCC Guidelines issued on May 27, 2026.

Important Eligibility Restriction

Candidates who participated in Round 1 or Round 2, were selected but did not take admission, cannot reapply for the counselling.

Counselling and Admission Process
