IIM Indore IPM admission guide
(For Both Domestic and International Applicants)
The Indian Institute of Management Indore has invited applications for admission to its Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for the 2026–31 batch. The IPM is a full-time residential dual-degree programme designed to provide an integrated pathway from undergraduate-level foundational education to postgraduate management training. The programme is offered under the provisions of the Indian Institutes of Management Act, 2017, and leads to the award of Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees upon successful completion.
Admissions to the IPM 2026–31 batch are to be conducted through two routes:
Domestic Applicants, will be selected through the IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) and Personal Interview process
International Applicants (Foreign Passport Holders), will be selected through the SAT- based admission route and Personal Interview process
Candidates applying under either route must satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions and follow the admission procedures specified by the Institute. The admission process for the IPM 2026–31 batch is administered by the Admissions Committee of IIM Indore. The Institute reserves the right to modify or update admission procedures, eligibility conditions and selection processes, if required, in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
Candidates completing Class XII on or before 31 July 2026 may apply.

The IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) for the 2026–31 batch will be conducted on Monday, 04 May 2026, in the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Each section has a duration of 40 minutes, making the total test duration 120 minutes.
Candidates must attempt the sections in a pre-defined order, which will be the same for all candidates.
Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria must submit the online application.
Eligible applicants appear for the IPMAT conducted across multiple test cities in India.

Sectional cut-offs are category-wise and decided by the Admissions Committee. Individual rejection communication is not sent at this stage.

Shortlisted candidates must appear for the Personal Interview in online or offline mode as notified by the institute. Candidates failing to meet minimum PI performance standards will not be considered further.
Final admission offers are made based on the Composite Score, which includes:
Merit lists are prepared category-wise following Government of India reservation norms. No regret letters are issued to non-selected candidates.
International applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria must submit their completed application form along with all required supporting documents and application processing fee within the prescribed deadline. Only complete and valid applications are considered for further evaluation.
Based on the applications received, an appropriate number of candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) using the merit list generated from SAT scores. Shortlisting is conducted as per the decision of the Admissions Committee.
Only candidates who successfully clear the earlier stages are considered for final admission offers. Final merit list is prepared based on the Composite Score, which includes:
Provisional admission offers are issued according to the approved intake capacity for international applicants. No regret letters are issued to candidates who are not selected for the final offer.
Candidates must have at least 40% benchmark disability as defined under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Recognised categories include:
Certificate Verification Rule: The Central Government category list applicable on the last date of IPMAT registration will be considered final. Valid category certificates must be submitted. No category changes or certificate updates will be permitted later.
International applicants under the SAT Route are admitted under the Supernumerary Quota and do not fall under the Government of India reservation framework. They are required to submit passport, SAT score documents, and academic certificates. Reservation certificates are not applicable.
The sanctioned intake capacity for Domestic Applicants for the IPM 2026–31 batch is 150 seats.
In addition, 5 supernumerary seats are earmarked for International / Foreign Applicants under the SAT Route. These seats are separate from and over and above the domestic intake.
The Indian Institutes of Management Act, 2017, which came into force on 31 January 2018, governs the award of degrees for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).
Accordingly, students enrolled in the Five-Year IPM 2026–31 batch, including both domestic and international students, will be awarded degrees under the Dual Degree Programme upon successful completion of the programme.
On successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded the following degrees:
Students who completed the IPM in 2025 were conferred these degrees at the 26th Convocation of IIM Indore, held on 29 March 2025.
All IPM students are required to complete a social internship at the end of the second year, providing exposure to social development, policy, or community-based projects and fostering empathy and real-world problem-solving skills.
IPM students may participate in a student exchange programme with partner institutions either in the third or fifth year, enabling international academic exposure and a global learning experience.
Students may choose to exit the programme after successfully completing the first three years and be awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) degree, subject to meeting academic requirements.
Select IPM students may be eligible for a sabbatical of up to two years between the third and fourth years to gain meaningful work experience before rejoining the MBA phase.
A structured rural engagement programme in the fourth year provides immersive exposure to rural ecosystems, enhancing understanding of social and economic realities beyond conventional classroom learning.
The Himalayan Outbound Programme in the fifth year integrates outdoor experiential learning, adventure, and leadership challenges designed to test resilience, teamwork, and leadership under unfamiliar conditions.

The caution deposit is refundable upon completion of the five-year programme. Mess deposits are adjusted against actual mess expenses.
For international students:
For Years 4 and 5, the programme fee is exactly the same as the MBA (PGP) fee of IIM Indore applicable for that academic year.
