Impact of NEET PG Percentile Reduction on Round 3 Counselling
One of the key updates leading to the revised counselling schedule is the reduction in the NEET PG qualifying percentile for 2024. This decision has made a significant impact on the counselling process, as it has opened up more opportunities for candidates who previously may not have qualified. The percentile reduction is as follows:
- General / OBC Candidates: A reduction of 15% in the qualifying percentile.
- SC / ST / OBC / PwD Candidates: A reduction of 10% in the qualifying percentile.
The revised NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 3 schedule, along with the reduction in qualifying percentiles, provides a new window of opportunity for candidates aiming to secure admission to postgraduate medical programs.
It ensures that more candidates are eligible for counselling, which will help fill vacant seats in medical colleges and encourage greater diversity in the field. Candidates must stay informed, follow the revised schedule, and complete all the necessary steps within the specified deadlines to maximize their chances of securing a seat in their desired specialty.
