Education Sector

The education sector has seen a significant boost with a total allocation of ₹25,739 crore. This fund aims to enhance infrastructure, improve learning outcomes, and promote digital literacy across the state.

  • New Institutes and Schools:
    • Establishment of 10 new government inter colleges in underserved districts.
    • Construction of 50 model primary schools equipped with modern facilities.
    • Development of two new state universities in Ayodhya and Saharanpur.
  • Programs and Schemes:
    • Digital Uttar Pradesh Initiative: Introduction of smart classrooms in 5,000 schools, along with distribution of tablets and laptops to 1 lakh meritorious students.
    • Vocational Training Program: Launch of vocational courses in 200 higher secondary schools to boost employability.
    • Teacher Training Programs: Special workshops and refresher courses planned for 10,000 teachers to enhance teaching quality.

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:

        Medhavi Chhatravriti Yojana: Increased funding to benefit 1.5 lakh students from economically weaker sections.

        Kanya Vidya Dhan Scheme: Expansion to include an additional 50,000 girl students, promoting higher education among women.

        Allocation of ₹1,000 crore for scholarships and financial aid.

    Scooty Yojana:

        Under this scheme, 25,000 scooters will be distributed to meritorious girl students to encourage higher education.

        Eligibility includes securing at least 75% marks in Class 12 board exams.

        ₹150 crore has been allocated for this initiative.

        Healthcare Sector Advancements

With a total allocation of ₹39,097 crore, the healthcare sector is set to undergo transformative changes focusing on infrastructure development, workforce expansion, and enhanced public health initiatives.

  • New Hospitals and Infrastructure:
    • Establishment of five new multi-specialty hospitals in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Agra, and Gorakhpur.
    • Upgradation of 100 primary health centers and 50 district hospitals with advanced medical equipment.
  • Healthcare Workforce:
    • Recruitment of 5,000 new doctors and 10,000 nursing staff.
    • Special incentives for healthcare professionals working in rural and remote areas.
  • Public Health Programs:
    • Expansion of vaccination drives under the Universal Immunization Program.
    • Launch of Maa Aur Shishu Suraksha Abhiyan focusing on maternal and child health.
  • Research and Development:
    • Allocation of ₹500 crore for medical research, focusing on critical diseases like cancer and cardiovascular illnesses.
    • Establishment of a State Institute for Medical Research in Lucknow.
  • Telemedicine and Digital Health:
    • Introduction of telemedicine services in 1,000 primary health centers.
    • Launch of a State Health App to facilitate online consultations and health record management.
