Management Quota Provisions — GGSIPU UG Programs 2026–27
10% of the total approved intake seats in unaided self-financing institutions affiliated with GGSIPU are earmarked as Management Quota Seats.

⚖️ Legal Framework Governing Management Quota
All Management Quota admissions are governed strictly under:
- Rule-8 of DPCI Rules, 2007
- Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions Act, 2007
- High Court of Delhi Judgment dated 04 August 2023
- Clarification Order dated 07 August 2023 (LPA 563/2023)
- University Admission Committee Decisions
- Notifications issued by GGSIPU as Designated Agency
🧮 Seat Calculation Rule
While computing management quota seats:
- Fractions below 0.7 are ignored
- Fractions of 0.7 and above are rounded up to one full seat.
✅ Eligibility Requirements for Management Quota
To apply under Management Quota, candidates must:
- Qualify the prescribed National Level Test / GGSIPU CET 2026 / CUET (as applicable)
- Fulfill programme-specific academic eligibility prescribed in Chapter-2
- Possess final qualifying examination results before merit list preparation
- Complete institute-level registration by paying prescribed registration fee
⚠️ Important: Admission without qualifying the applicable entrance test is strictly prohibited.
📋 Merit Preparation Rules
Management Quota admissions are merit-based only.
For Undergraduate Programmes:
Merit shall be prepared using:
- Best 5 subjects aggregate including English and Mandatory program subjects
Special Programs Using Best-4 Aggregate:
For BBA, BHMCT, BCA, BA Journalism & Mass Communication:
- Best 4 subjects including English
Eligibility Verification Mandatory: Subject combinations, minimum percentage requirements, and mandatory subject presence must strictly match Chapter-2 eligibility norms.
💻High Court Mandated Online + Offline Application Facility
As per Delhi High Court Orders, institutions must provide:
- Online application portal
- Offline application submission facility
- Downloadable application form on website
- Automated acknowledgment receipt generation
Note: Both online and offline applicants must be merged into single combined merit list.
📢 Rank List Publication Rules
Institutions must:
- Publish rank ordered merit list within 2 days of application closing
- Display merit list on Institute website and Physical notice board
- Merit list must include: Program wise, Shift wise (where applicable), Combined online + offline applicants
⚠️ Important: No candidate name shall be omitted.
🎯 Counseling Procedure for Management Quota Seats
Counseling Timeline Rules:
- Counseling must be conducted within 3 days of merit list publication
- Maximum two counseling rounds allowed
- Second counseling can start only 12 hours after Round-1 admission list publication
Seat Allotment Method:
- Branch/programme allotment strictly based on merit rank
- Choice filling done on counseling day only
- Fee payment allowed in online mode during counselling.
Management Quota Admission Deadline: Within 9 calendar days after University regular admission reporting date (before Spot Round)
💰 Registration Fee Rules
- Prescribed registration fee: ₹2,500 (if charged)
- Must be collected at registration stage only
- Cannot be demanded after application submission
- Receipt issuance is mandatory
Note: Institutions opting not to charge registration fee must declare it clearly in advertisement.
