NEET UG Counselling 2025

The counselling schedule for NEET UG 2025 has been released. Candidates who successfully passed the NEET UG exam conducted in May 2025 can begin their registration for Round 1 of counselling between 21 July and 30 July 2025. To participate in the counselling process, candidates must register on the official website: mcc.nic.in. In the NEET 2025 examination organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), a total of 22,09,318 candidates appeared.

 This process is designed for qualified candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs in medical and dental colleges across the country. After clearing NEET 2025, candidates will undergo the counselling procedure to secure a seat in either government or private medical/dental institutions. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) administers the counselling online for various quotas, including the 15% All India Quota and the full seats available at AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, BHU, and other universities.

Individuals who pass the NEET UG 2025 exam must register on the official MCC website to engage in the counselling rounds. There is Two Types of NEET Counselling for UG Medical Programmes in India 

1. All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling

  • Conducted by MCC
  • Covers 15% of seats in government medical and dental colleges (except J&K)
  • Includes seats in:
    • Deemed Universities
    • Central Universities (e.g., BHU, AMU, Delhi University)
    • AIIMS, JIPMER
    • ESIC and AFMC (AFMC has a separate screening process after counselling)

2. State Quota Counselling

  • Conducted by respective state counselling authorities
  • Covers 85% of state government college seats
  • Includes state private medical/dental colleges

Types of Seats in NEET Counselling


NEET counselling provides various types of seats to accommodate different categories of students across government, private, and deemed medical institutions in India.

1. Government Medical/Dental Seats

  • Offered in central and state government colleges.
  • Divided into:
    • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) – filled through MCC counselling.
