JEE Main 2025 Final Answer Keys Released: 12 Questions Dropped, Results Expected Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer keys for the JEE Main 2025 BE and BTech exams, which were conducted between January 22 and 30. This announcement, made today, includes a key update: 12 questions have been dropped from the exam, with the majority of the dropped questions coming from the Physics section. These adjustments are part of the final review of the exam's accuracy and integrity. The official answer keys are available on the NTA's official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, allowing candidates to compare their responses with the final keys.

Dropped Questions and Its Impact

Out of the 12 questions dropped, the highest number of questions were from the Physics section. For those curious about which questions have been dropped, specific question IDs from the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections are listed on the website. In the event of a question being dropped, the NTA ensures fairness by awarding full marks to all candidates who attempted or did not attempt that particular question.

What Happens When Questions are Dropped?

If questions are found to be incorrect, dropped, or have no correct answers among the options, the NTA ensures that all candidates are treated equally. For Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), if a question is dropped or deemed incorrect, all candidates will receive full marks for it, regardless of whether they attempted the question or not. Similarly, for numerical value questions, if a question is dropped, all candidates who attempted it will receive full marks.

If a question contains multiple correct answers, candidates who marked any of the correct options will be awarded the full four marks. This practice ensures that no candidate is disadvantaged due to errors or inconsistencies in the exam.

How to Check the Final Answer Keys?

To access the final answer keys, candidates can follow these simple steps:

1.    Visit the official websites: jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in.

2.    On the homepage, click on the link labeled "Answer Key".

3.    The final answer keys will be displayed on the screen.

4.    Candidates are advised to download and save the answer keys for future reference.

This allows candidates to verify their responses and calculate their scores based on the corrected keys.

Results Announcement and JEE Advanced Eligibility

The JEE Main 2025 January session results are expected to be released on February 12. While the exact time of release has not been mentioned, last year the results were announced at 8 am on the official website. Based on the results, the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be eligible to register for the JEE Advanced exam, which is the next step for those aiming to gain admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

JEE Main April Session Registration Now Open

In addition to the January session results, registration for the JEE Main 2025 April session is already open. Candidates can apply for the April exam on the official NTA website, with the last date for registration being February 25 by 9 pm. The fee payment window will close at 11:50 pm on the same day, so candidates must ensure timely payment.

As JEE Main remains a critical milestone for engineering aspirants, the release of the final answer keys and the upcoming results will play a key role in shaping their academic paths for the future.
