Jharkhand Budget 2025: 7 New Medical Colleges, 5 Law Colleges & 2 Universities to Be Established Soon!

The Jharkhand government has taken a significant step towards enhancing education and healthcare infrastructure in the state. In the 2025 budget, Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore announced the establishment of new universities, law colleges, and medical colleges, focusing on skill development, law education, and healthcare improvements. These initiatives aim to provide more opportunities for students and improve the state's healthcare services.

Key Highlights of the Jharkhand Budget 2025:
1. Establishment of Two New Universities

The state will set up a Skill University and a Fintech University, both aimed at promoting vocational and technical education. This will enhance the scope of skill development and help meet the growing demand for professionals in financial technology.

2. Five New Law Colleges

To encourage legal studies and promote the law profession, the Jharkhand government plans to establish five new law colleges across various cities, including Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Dumka, and Palamu. These colleges will provide students with access to quality legal education.

3. Seven New Medical Colleges

The government has proposed the establishment of seven new medical colleges in key areas like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Khunti, Giridih, Deoghar, Dhanbad and Jamtara. This initiative aims to improve healthcare services and provide better training for aspiring medical professionals.

4. Expansion of Healthcare Infrastructure

The government has already approved the establishment of a new medical college and hospital in Ranchi. In addition, proposals are in place to create new medical colleges in Khunti, Giridih, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Deoghar, and Jamtara through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Budget Allocation for Key Sectors:

 Primary and Secondary Education: ₹15,198.35 Crore

 Higher and Technical Education: ₹2,409.20 Crore

 Healthcare: ₹7,470.50 Crore

These budget allocations reflect the government's strong focus on improving education and healthcare in the state, ensuring quality services for the people of Jharkhand.
