NEET PG 2025 Result Expected Today; Your Step-by-Step Guide to Check Scores and What’s Next


The wait is almost over! The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will announce the NEET PG 2025 result today, August 19, 2025, for the more then 2.42 lakh candidates who had appeared for the test on August 3, 2025. This is the all India level entrance examination through which you’ll get admission in the MD, MS and PG Diploma courses in India. Scores will be online at nbe. edu. in and natboard. edu. in, with individual scorecards quickly after. Keep reading for a complete step-by-step guide, probable cutoff, best colleges, and more to help you sail through your PG medical journey.


How to Download Your Result


You can follow a few easy steps to check your NEET PG 2025 result. Below are steps to download the PDF:


Visit the official website: natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in.

Find the latest notification section, and Fetch the NEET PG result 2025 link.

Look for your applicant ID or roll number (ctrl+f facilitates search).

Download the PDF to your device, or print it, for access during your study session.


Note of caution: nothing is necessary to access the first PDF, but be prepared to use your user ID and password in order to be able to see that scorecard. Results will not be emailed individually — they will only be available online.


Expected Cutoff and Qualifying Criteria


Candidates have to attain the minimum qualifying percentile (as per their category) in order to be eligible for NEET PG 2025. Here are the anticipated cutoff score (out of 800) and cutoff percentile for acceptance:


Qualifying Cut Off: 


  • General/EWS - 276

  • OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD - 235

  • General PWD - 255


Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, -1 for every wrong answer and 0 for not attempted. Eligible candidates can attend the counselling for MD, MS, PG Diploma courses.


Details in Your Scorecard


As and when released, the NEET PG 2025 scorecard will include following details:

  • Name of the candidate

  • Guardian's name

  • Date of birth

  • NEET PG roll number

  • Category

  • Qualifying status

  • Marks obtained (out of 800)


Note: Scorecards will be available for 2025-26 session only, from 5-6 days after the release of result PDF.


How Many Students Appeared?


The exam was held on August 3, 2025 and was taken by more than 242,493 candidates in a single-shift, computer-based test at 301 cities and 1052 test centres— becoming the largest single-shift medical entrance examination conducted in India.


How Many Were Selected (Qualified)?


Here’s where it gets a little cloudy — official numbers of how many students qualified isn’t yet available. But we know the qualifying percentiles (for various categories) according to the standard norms as:


  1. Candidates Appeared: 2.42 lakh (242,493)

  2. Qualified (Selected): 1,28,116

  3. All India Rank (AIR):


  • 800–701 marks: AIR 1–20

  • 670–800 marks: AIR 1–10,000 (considered good for top colleges)

  • 550–600 marks: AIR 3,000–9,800

  • 541–550 marks: AIR 9,800–10,000

  • 500–505 marks: AIR 20,500–23,000

  • 450 marks: AIR 20,000–30,000

  • 250 and below: AIR 146,000–150,000

For the NEET PG 2025 exam, over 2.42 lakh (242,493) students appeared, as reported by multiple sources.
