NFSU 2025 Admission Open: Check Last Date, Entrance Exam, Registration, Fees & Reservation

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) has announced its admission schedule for the academic session 2025-26. The admission process commenced on 18th March 2025, with the last date for online registration and submission of applications being 5th May 2025 (12:00 Midnight). The university offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in forensic sciences, criminology, and investigative sciences.

What is NFSU?

Established in 2008 as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, NFSU gained national university status and is recognized by the UGC. It has nine campuses across India and an international campus in Uganda. The university provides world-class academic facilities, including libraries, research journals, advanced laboratories, and separate hostels for students.

NFSU Admission Process 2025-26

The admission portal for NFSU is open, and applicants can submit their forms until 5th May 2025. Admissions to most courses are based on the National Forensic Admission Test (NFAT) 2025, scheduled for 7th and 8th June 2025. The tentative date for the declaration of the merit list is 23rd June 2025, followed by the first round of counseling on 30th June 2025.

Students who receive seat allotments in the first round must confirm their admission between 1st July to 8th July 2025. If required, a second round of counseling will be conducted on 11th July 2025, with seat confirmation available from 12th July to 18th July 2025. The academic session for the new batch will commence on 22nd July 2025.

NFSU Admission Criteria 2025-26

NFSU offers various programs at different academic levels, with specific eligibility requirements:

    Undergraduate Programs: Applicants must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% marks.

    Postgraduate Programs: Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks.

    Diploma Programs: Eligibility varies; PG Diplomas require a bachelor’s degree, while other diploma courses may require Class 10 or 12 qualifications.

Seat Reservation at NFSU

NFSU follows the Government of India’s reservation policy for Indian nationals:

    Children and Widows of Eligible Armed Forces Personnel (CW Category): Two seats per course.

    Foreign Nationals: Up to 10% of total seats.

    Children of Indian Workers in Gulf and South-East Asia Countries (CIWGC-SEA): 5% additional intake.

NFAT Exam 2025 and Registration

To apply for NFSU admission, candidates must register for the NFAT 2025 entrance exam. The steps to apply include:

1.    Visit the official NFSU website (@nfsu.ac.in).

2.    Complete the online application form.

3.    Upload scanned copies of required documents.

4.    Pay the application fee (ranging from INR 1,000 to 2,000).

5.    Submit and take a printout of the confirmation receipt.

    Undergraduate Courses: BSc Forensic Science, BBA LLB, BSc LLB, LLB Cyber Law, etc.

    Postgraduate Courses: MSc Forensic Psychology, MA Criminology, MBA Cyber Security, MTech Civil Engineering, etc.

    Diploma Courses: PG Diploma in Crime Scene Management, PG Diploma in Investigative Psychology, Diploma in Canine Forensics, etc.

    Integrated Courses: BSc-MSc in Forensic Science (5-year program).

    PhD Programs: Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Forensic Pharmacy, etc.

1.    Visiting the NFSU website.

2.    Clicking on the ‘NFSU Portal’ link.

3.    Entering email ID and password.

4.    Resetting the password through a confirmation mail if forgotten.
