The SAT Exam 2025 is an essential gateway for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate studies in top U.S. colleges and universities. Administered by the College Board, the SAT is a globally recognized standardized test designed to assess a student’s readiness for college. The exam evaluates skills in Mathematics, Reading, and Writing, providing colleges with a common data point for comparing applicants.
What is the SAT Exam?
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. Introduced in 1926, the SAT has undergone several changes in structure and scoring. The test now focuses on measuring high school students' readiness for college through two primary sections:
• Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW)
• Mathematics
Most questions are multiple choice, though the math section includes some grid-in responses. The SAT is scored on a scale of 400–1600, combining results from each section. Importantly, there is no penalty for incorrect answers.
