AP NEET UG Counselling 2026: New Registrations Open for MBBS & BDS Management Quota Seats
Vijayawada: Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh has opened a fresh registration window for candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admission for the academic year 2026–27 under various management and NRI-related categories.
The notification, dated September 30, 2026, allows candidates who could not register earlier to submit their applications with a late fee and upload the required documents within the prescribed schedule.

According to the notification, online applications will be available from 5:00 PM on September 30, 2026, to 12:00 Noon on October 1, 2026.

Which Seats Are Covered?
The fresh registration notification covers multiple categories of MBBS and BDS seats, including:
- Competent Authority Self-Financing seats in new Government Medical Colleges permitted from 2023–24 onwards
- Competent Authority NRI Category seats in new Government Medical Colleges
- Management Quota Category-B1 seats
- Management Quota Category-B2 seats
- Category-C (NRI) seats in private unaided non-minority and minority medical and dental colleges
- NRI Category seats in Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women under SVIMS, Tirupati
- NRI Lapsed Category seats
Registration Fee and Late Fee
Candidates who missed the earlier registration opportunity can now register by paying a total fee of ₹31,000, comprising the ₹11,000 registration fee and ₹20,000 late fee.
Documents Required for MBBS & BDS Registration
Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the prescribed certificates. The notification lists the following documents, wherever applicable:
- NEET UG 2026 Rank Card
- Birth Certificate/SSC Marks Memo
- Class 12/Intermediate certificate
- Study certificates from Class 6 to Intermediate for eligible AP local candidates claiming Category-B2 seats
- Transfer/Migration Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Minority Certificate, if applicable
- Aadhaar/photo identity proof
- PwBD Certificate, if applicable
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Candidate's specimen signature
Candidates should ensure that documents are uploaded in the prescribed file format and size.
Additional Documents for NRI Candidates
Candidates applying under the NRI category have to provide additional documents.
For an actual NRI candidate or foreign student, the requirements include the candidate's passport, NRI status certificate of the financial supporter and, where applicable, an AIU equivalence certificate for candidates who completed their qualifying examination outside the Indian education system.
For OCI/PIO candidates, the applicable OCI/PIO card must also be submitted.
Candidates claiming NRI eligibility through a child/blood relative of an NRI are required to submit documents including:
- Declaration signed by the candidate and NRI
- Family Tree Certificate establishing the relationship
- NRE/NRO bank account passbook of the financial supporter
- Passport of the NRI financer
NRI Lapsed Category
Candidates seeking admission under the NRI Lapsed Category must submit a notarised affidavit relating to the parent's financial status, duly signed by the parent and candidate.
The notification also includes a prescribed affidavit covering the parent's income and source of funds for financing the candidate's MBBS or BDS education.
Original Documents Will Be Verified at Admission
Dr. NTRUHS has clarified that the university will conduct verification of the basic scanned documents uploaded online. However, the Principal of the concerned college will verify the original certificates at the time of joining.
No Separate Registration for NRI Candidates
Candidates applying under the NRI category do not have to undertake a separate registration or separate choice-filling process.
They must complete the general online registration and choice filling according to the prescribed schedule.
Dr NTRUHS Warns Candidates Against Brokers
The university has also issued a warning against touts, brokers and middlemen claiming to arrange MBBS or BDS seats through contacts within the university.
Dr NTRUHS has stated that medical and dental seats are allotted through the prescribed counselling process based on NEET UG merit and the options exercised by candidates.
Important for AP NEET UG 2026 Candidates
Candidates who are eligible and intend to participate in the newly opened registration window should complete the application within the short deadline.
They should also ensure that all uploaded certificates are genuine, complete and readable.
