Ashoka University Announces the Launch of the Havells School of Management & Leadership with a Rs 250 Crore Grant
New Delhi – Ashoka University revealed the establishment of the Havells School of Management & Leadership on Monday, backed by a generous grant of Rs 250 crore from Havells India.
According to a joint statement, the school will introduce India’s first undergraduate programs in Applied Liberal Arts and Management, with an ambitious goal of becoming one of the top ten global management programs at the undergraduate level.
Designed to offer a range of innovative academic programs, the Havells School of Management & Leadership aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders dedicated to societal impact and India's developmental goals.
“Co-created by Ashoka University and Havells India, the School is focused on equipping young leaders to develop solutions and inspire change in response to global economic and social challenges,” the statement added.
The School will also introduce integrated postgraduate programs, in collaboration with leading business and management institutions in India and abroad.
This Rs 250 crore commitment marks Havells India's third and largest contribution to Ashoka University, continuing the legacy of its founder, the late Qimat Rai Gupta, who made the initial grant in 2014. His son, Anil Rai Gupta, is now partnering with Ashoka to co-create one of India’s premier leadership and management programs.

Ashoka University’s existing undergraduate management, business, and entrepreneurship courses will be integrated into the Havells School of Management & Leadership, enhancing its educational offerings.

Building this school is a direct response to those needs.
Ashoka University Management School Offered Programs
Undergraduate Programs: The school offers a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program, focusing on business fundamentals, leadership, and management skills.
Postgraduate Programs: AUSOM also offers an MBA program designed to nurture young professionals into leadership roles in business and management.
Ashoka University’s School of Management aims to redefine business education in India by blending academic excellence with practical leadership skills.
