The registration process for IIT JEE Advanced 2025 has officially commenced for foreign nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO). Candidates can now submit their applications through the official website — jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to register is May 2, 2025, and fee payment must be completed by May 5, 2025 (up to 5 PM).

This crucial update comes ahead of the JEE Advanced 2025 exam, scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025. For students aspiring to study at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), this is the most critical step after qualifying JEE Main 2025.

Who Can Apply for JEE Advanced 2025?

The following candidates are eligible for registration under the foreign national category:

•  Foreign nationals (who are not citizens of India).

•  OCI/PIO cardholders whose cards were first issued after March 4, 2021.

• OCI/PIO cardholders whose cards were issued before March 4, 2021 but who wish to be considered as foreign nationals.

These candidates are not required to appear for JEE Main 2025 and can directly apply for JEE Advanced.

Who Can Apply?

The JEE Advanced 2025 examination is open to:

• Foreign Nationals: Candidates who are not citizens of India by birth or naturalization and do not hold OCI/PIO status.

• OCI/PIO Candidates: As per the recent Supreme Court guidelines, OCI candidates are treated at par with foreign nationals and are eligible only under the supernumerary category. They do not need to appear for JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2025

• Foreign, OCI, and PIO candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination in the science stream (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

• Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000 (5-year age relaxation for SC/ST/PwD not applicable for foreign nationals).

• A maximum of two attempts in consecutive years is allowed.

• The candidate must not have been admitted to an IIT earlier.

Admission Through JoSAA 2025

After the JEE Advanced 2025 result is declared, successful candidates can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 counselling process. Seats will be allocated in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through a unified platform.The JoSAA counselling schedule will be released separately on its official portal.
