Bihar Polytechnic Students Can Now Pursue Free B.Tech with Salary Under 'Learn and Earn' Program

In a major opportunity for polytechnic students in Bihar, the state government has introduced the ‘Learn and Earn’ program, allowing students to pursue B.Tech for free while earning a stipend. The campus drive is being organized by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited at Naveen Government Polytechnic College, Patna, from March 3, 2025. Under this initiative, selected students will earn while they study, significantly easing financial burdens.

Who Can Apply?

Students from the following branches of Polytechnic Engineering can participate: Mechanical Engineering

Electrical Engineering

Automobile Engineering

 Eligible candidates must have:

  Passed Matriculation (10th) with at least 60% marks

Completed an Engineering Diploma in the relevant branch

Belonged to the batches of 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025

How to Apply?

Interested candidates must apply on the official Bihar Polytechnic Council website under the ‘Training & Placement’ tab in the Career Section before February 28, 2025.

Benefits of the 'Learn and Earn' Program

 Free B.Tech Education – Selected candidates will have their tuition fees fully covered.

 Earn While Studying – Students will receive a monthly stipend:

    ₹18,000 per month in the first year

    ₹22,000 per month in the second year

    ₹24,000 per month in the third year

 Industry-Integrated Apprenticeship – Students will gain hands-on experience while studying.

Campus Placement Drive in Patna

The placement drive will be conducted in Patna from March 3, 2025, and will be open to students from all polytechnic colleges across Bihar, including Bhagalpur and other districts. The initiative is aimed at enhancing employability and ensuring financial independence for students.

Government’s Vision for Polytechnic Students

Speaking on this initiative, Dr. Kamal Kishore Pathak, Principal of Rajkiya Polytechnic College, Barari, stated, “The Learn and Earn program will provide students a dual advantage—free B.Tech education and an income source. This is a great opportunity for students to secure their future in the engineering sector.”

With stipends up to ₹24,000 per month and a fully funded B.Tech degree, this initiative is set to transform career opportunities for Bihar’s polytechnic students. Candidates are encouraged to apply before February 28, 2025, to secure their place in this prestigious program.
