JoSAA 2025 & CSAB Counselling Details: IIT Kanpur & NIT Rourkela Lead Process
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025, managing engineering admissions across various institutions, will be jointly conducted by IIT Kanpur and NIT Rourkela. The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) 2025, led by NIT Rourkela, will handle additional rounds to assist students, particularly from the Northeast and Union Territories.
JEE Main 2025 serves as the qualifying exam for aspirants aiming for engineering seats in 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, 3 Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), 37 government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs), and IIEST Shibpur. Successful candidates will participate in JoSAA and CSAB counselling.
The deadline for JEE Main 2025 registration is February 25, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply on the official site, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Professor K Umamaheshwar Rao, Chairperson of CSAB 2025, emphasized the significance of cracking JEE Main, urging students to register and take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
JoSAA and CSAB Counselling Details
JoSAA 2025 will conduct multiple rounds of counselling to ensure candidates have access to their preferred institutions and courses. CSAB will also host special rounds to maximize seat utilization and cater specifically to students from the Northeast and Union Territories .
The registration for JoSAA 2025 is anticipated to begin on June 3, following the announcement of the JEE Advanced 2025 results. The JoSAA 2025 application form and choice filling will be accessible exclusively online on the official website in June 2025. JoSAA 2025 is projected to take place over five primary rounds.
CSAB 2025: Focus on Northeast and Union Territories
CSAB 2025 is dedicated to increasing participation from students in these regions by offering:
• CSAB-NEUT Round: A special round for AICTE-approved institutions, focusing on supporting Northeast students who face limited access to technical education.
• CSAB Special Round: This round provides an additional opportunity for students who missed out on JoSAA counselling.
